Grace Kruger is a Brisbane based percussionist and educator who completed her Bachelor of Music (performance) degree at the Queensland Conservatorium in 2020.
During her time at university she studied with Vanessa Tomlinson, Tom O’Kelly and Michael Askill as well as performing in an array of ensembles including Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, the Queensland Youth and Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestras. She has also played in many distinguished venues including on tour to China and Germany with the Queensland Youth Orchestra in 2017, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast.
As well as her study and performing, Grace is also a passionate teacher. She is currently the drum tutor at St Joachim’s Catholic Primary School and is also a private and class music teacher at Forte School of Music where she specialises in drums, percussion, piano and early childhood lessons.
After graduating with her Bachelor degree in 2020, Grace is looking forward to beginning postgraduate studies in the field of Primary Education. She aspires to continue sharing her love for music in a fun and entertaining way!
In her spare time, Grace enjoys cycling, hiking with her dog Jasper, driving and watching (an excessive amount of) movies and TV shows.
