We have been running our Kaboom Percussion School Shows and Workshops programs in Australia and New Zealand since 2015 and due to an increasing amount of interest in our programs we are looking to expand our player base with multiple duos on the east coast of Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional school incursions and we are passionate about bringing music to students of all ages and abilities around the world.
We are seeking expressions of interest from talented and enthusiastic percussionists in Sydney and Brisbane who are passionate about working with Primary and High School aged students to deliver our programs for metro and regional schools. As a member of our Kaboom team you will receive intensive training in the delivery of our programs as well as ongoing support. Our aim is for our new players to rehearse in 2020 to be ready to perform in 2021. Performance/workshop bookings will be made throughout the year according to your availability. The position would suit freelance percussionists or instrumental teachers with flexible work schedules.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Perform School Shows (including transit, set-up/pack-down)

Deliver School Workshops (including transit, set-up/pack-down)

Maintain an excellent standard of performance

Abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Other tasks as directed
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion (or completing one in 2020)
-
Current Driver’s License and Working With Children Check
-
Previous experience in school shows and workshops is desirable but not essential
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent stage presence and public speaking

Understanding of technical requirements (microphones, PA system etc.)
